Paul Lewis Garden Video Show

Dear Daylily Friends,

I have been hybridizing since 1999.  I have been blessed to have been mentored by the great northern hybridizers, Steve Moldovan, Roy Woodhall, and Curt Hanson.  I've always felt that daylily hybridizing has been my calling and I strive to create daylilies that are bred for their performance and presentation in the garden.

Well, this has been a difficult year.  Here in northeastern Ohio we broke the record for rainfall for the year.
They've only been keeping track of these records for 141 years.  It has made for very difficult conditions to hybridize
in.  Some days I'd go out after a heavy rain and find all my cross tags scattered on the ground.  I'd scratch my head as to where they fell from.  In spite of the weather I managed to still have a pretty decent crossing season and was pleased to see some interesting seedlings bloom, which are featured in the future seedlings section of this website.  I hope you enjoy my 2012 offerings.  Happy gardening!
