A.D. LEWIS
Lewis (Outback Red X Bill Fall)
6" flower, 40" scape, 3 way branching, 17 buds, MLa, Dor. Tet
I named this special red daylily for my grandfather. My grandfather was a fireman in Cleveland, Ohio
for many years, and when he wasn't doing that he also was an excellent brick layer. I wouldn't be doing
my grandfather justice if I didn't name one of my best daylilies for him. The one thing that makes a daylily
special is if you look across a daylily field and it stands apart from the rest. A.D. Lewis is that daylily. Just looking
at the photograph, you'd probably say it is just another red, but I assure you, it will distinguish itself in
your garden. A hardy dormant that is pollen fertile, but pod difficult.
